Maya Montgomery

Piano Teacher

Maya Montgomery is a classically trained pianist and music educator, graduating with First Class Honours in Music from the University of Aberdeen with a specialism in classical piano. She is an experienced piano teacher, accompanist, and music director, and has worked across Scotland, England, and New York, USA.

Maya specialises in classical repertoire and has guided many students through the ABRSM syllabus. Alongside teaching, she is an accomplished pit musician, having performed in over 25 musical productions with companies including the Edinburgh Savoy Opera Group, AngusAlive Festival, and Long Lake Camp for the Arts in New York.

In 2023, Maya served as accompanist for the NHS Grampian Choir, performing with them at Aberdeen’s Music Hall, and she has also held the position of pianist with the University of Aberdeen Symphony Orchestra. She is now based in London, where she works as a piano teacher and accompanist.
