Performance Opportunities

We believe that performance is key to learning an instrument. Not only is it a great way to showcase everything you’ve learnt so far, it builds such great transferable skills like confidence, public speaking and resilience.

PELICAN CONCERTS

All students at Pelican get the opportunity to perform at least once a year, in one of our termly concerts. These are a great opportunity to perform in front of friends and family, and show off what you’ve been working on in lessons! You’ll also be able to play with one of our talented accompanists if needed.

Teachers will nominate their students when they feel they are ready to perform. Sometimes we have limits on the number of students able to take part in a concert due to timing constraints, but don’t worry, we’ll make sure that your child is invited to the next one.

Does it cost anything?

We charge £3.50 per adult ticket - please do come along and support!

When do the concerts happen?

We hold our concert weeks three times a year, at the end of term in December, March and June/July. Look out for more information from us nearer the time, or talk to your teacher for more information.

Pelican Christmas Celebration 2023

In December 2023, we invited students to attend our first ever Christmas Celebration! The students rehearsed during the morning to put together a concert of festive orchestra and small ensemble music, with the help of our fabulous tutors. For many of our students it was their first time playing in an orchestra, and they all did brilliantly. You can see some short clips of the event on our Instagram page.
