Music Lessons at Strand on the Green Infants

What’s on Offer

Strand on the Green Infants started with Pelican Music in September 2017 and there are now around 50 children learning instruments during school time.

Students can learn an instrument right from Reception. Currently we offer the following:

• Reception - Violin and Cello

• Year 1 - Violin, Cello, Guitar, Woodwind and Piano

• Year 2 - Violin, Cello, Piano, Woodwind

We would also be delighted to offer the following instruments, subject to a minimum sign-up requirement of 5 students: 

• Brass (Year 2)

• Drums (Year 2)

Students will need access to their own instrument for the duration of their lessons and to be able to practise at home. You may already have an instrument at home, or our teachers will be happy to assist parents in sourcing an appropriate instrument at low cost.

Getting Started

1. Apply for Lessons
   If you have an instrument in mind, great. Otherwise, we can help advise you. Once a lesson slot is available, we’ll be in touch to get you set up.

2. Get Set Up
   We ask all parents to sign an agreement and we’ll also help you set up a Direct Debit, to make paying for lessons quick and easy. Then we’re ready to start your lessons.

3. Start Lessons
   We’ll introduce you to your teacher, who will advise you on any questions around instruments and books, as well as what day your lessons will take place.
